The police arrested a 24-year-old man for allegedly beating his father to death following a quarrel, under the influence of alcohol, on Monday.
The victim has been identified as Chandra Bahadur Shahi, 52, a native of Nepal, residing in Panathur Belagere and the accused, his son, Dorna Bahadur Shahi.
According to the police, both father and son worked as security guards. On Sunday night, an argument reportedly broke out between them at their residence over a trivial issue after consuming alcohol.
