The police seized 24 kg of ganja from a 34-year-old man who had come to a private travel agency at Nesapakkam Junction on Wednesday to book a bus ticket to Ernakulam.
The man was detained after employees of the travel agency grew suspicious of a sack he was carrying and alerted the police.
The incident occurred around 3.40 p.m. on Wednesday at Akash Travels on 100 Feet Road at Nesapakkam Junction in Koyambedu. The suspect was identified as Kamrul Daktar, 34, of Murshidabad district in West Bengal.
