₹24,210 crore railway projects covering 1,481 km underway in TG, AP: SCR GM
South Central Railway officials announced that infrastructure projects worth over ₹24,000 crore are currently underway across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. The projects include new lines, track doubling, and the introduction of new train services to improve passenger amenities.

South Central Railway (SCR) General Manager Sanjay Kumar Srivastava on Thursday informed that 1,481 km of new line, doubling and tripling projects are currently under progress at an estimated cost of ₹24,210.18 crore across Telangana and Andhra Pradesh under the zone’s jurisdiction.
He said that 14 trains have been extended to various terminals, 56 trains have been provided additional stoppages at different stations, and 30 pairs of trains have been regularised so far this year. In addition, four pairs of new trains and five pairs of Amrit Bharat trains have been introduced since the last financial year, he told Members of Parliament (MPs) from both States during a meeting held at Rail Nilayam.
