₹221-crore boost to medical infrastructure in Andhra Pradesh
The Andhra Pradesh government has invited tenders for 12 medical infrastructure projects worth over ₹221 crore. These projects focus on expanding AYUSH services and upgrading government allopathic hospitals across various districts.

To further strengthen medical infrastructure in the State, tenders have been invited for 12 projects with an estimated cost of ₹221.67 crore, according to Health Minister Satya Kumar Yadav.
In a statement on Friday, Mr. Satya Kumar said these projects include construction of buildings required for AYUSH medical services and medical education, as well as additional facilities in the government allopathic hospitals. Of the 12 projects, 10 were related to the AYUSH Department and two to the Allopathic Medical Department, he said.
Elaborating further, he said under the National AYUSH Mission (NAM), 50-bed integrated AYUSH hospitals would be constructed at six locations - Tekkali in Srikakulam district (₹9.98 crore), Rampachodavaram in Polavaram district (₹10.57 crore), Nandigama in NTR district (₹10.52 crore), Tenali in Guntur district (₹10.50 crore), Giddalur in Markapuram district ( ₹10.58 crore), and Tirupati district (₹9.99 crore).
