HAZARIBAG: A 22-year-old man accused of abducting and sexually assaulting a 13-year-old girl was allegedly beaten to death by a group of people in Chatra district on Tuesday morning.Late on Tuesday, eight persons were arrested in connection with the lynching case. SP Animesh Naithany said all those involved in the incident will be arrested soon.Police said villagers attacked the man with fists, kicks and sticks after allegations of abduction and rape surfaced against him. Police rescued him and took him to a local hospital. He was later referred to another hospital for advanced treatment, where he died.Police and local sources said the girl had been missing since Sunday night and returned home late on Monday.
