The deceased, Vidya, was a helper at the manufacturing unit of a private company in Doddaballapur. She had been residing in a paying guest accommodation facilitated by the company. The police suspect that her 29-year-old husband, Anand, strangled her following an argument and fled the lodge.
According to the police, Vidya and Anand hail from Gauribidanur in Chikkaballapur district. They got married about three years ago. The couple, however, had frequent arguments, leading to marital discord.
