2027 Mercedes-Maybach S-Class prices: Facelift brings more affordable entry-level model to Australia
Mercedes-Benz is updating its Maybach S-Class range for the Australian market in 2027, introducing a more affordable V8-powered S580 model alongside the flagship V12 S680. The facelifted Mercedes-Maybach S-Class will be offered in two model grades in Australia, with a new V8-powered S580 joining the range-topping V12 S680 . The updated range is due in Australia during the first quarter (January to March) of 2027. Mercedes-Benz Australia has confirmed the new Mercedes-Maybach S580 will be priced from $517,900 before on-road costs. It's powered by an ‘M177 Evo’ 4.0-litre twin-turbocharged V8 petrol engine producing 395kW and 750Nm, supported by a 17kW/205Nm integrated starter-generator as part of a 48V mild-hybrid system. The V8 is also used in the regular S-Class , while earlier versions of the M177 engine family power Aston Martin’s DB12 coupe and DBX SUV. The Evo version gains a flat-plane crankshaft and revised fuel-injection system, among other changes designed to meet stricter Euro 7 emissions regulations.
