Governor Uba Sani of Kaduna will contest against 17 other governorship candidates in the 2027 election, according to the list of candidates released by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) on Saturday. The list, displayed at the commission’s headquarters in Unguwan Rimi, Kaduna metropolis, showed that 18 candidates will contest the governorship election on the platforms of different political parties. Sani, who is seeking re-election, will contest on the platform of the All Progressives Congress (APC), while his 2023 challenger, Isa Mohammed Ashiru, will fly the flag of the African Democratic Congress (ADC).
