There are many big headlines coming out of WWE Night of Champions on Saturday, but none as big as this: Sami Zayn is a world champion.Zayn managed to win the night's main event triple threat match against Gunther and the man who entered as undisputed WWE champion, Cody Rhodes. At the end of a wild match that saw all three men have chances to win, it was Zayn who pinned Rhodes to walk away as world champion for the first time in his career, not even needing to exploit the triple threat rules in which the champion does not need to be pinned to lose his title. The other biggest results of the night came from the King and Queen of the Ring tournaments, with Oba Femi and Iyo Sky earning title shots at SummerSlam, as well as Seth Rollins outlasting Bron Breakker in a brutal and bloody cage match. CBS Sports was with you the whole way through the event, providing updates and highlights as the action goes down in the live blog below. Oba Femi becomes King of the RingFemi easily fought off an early attempt from Uso to grab early momentum. When Uso tried to get going again, hitting a pair of suicide dives, Femi cut him off with a forearm and again took control, thrashing Uso and tossing him around the ring. Uso managed to escape a chokeslam and land some kicks and uppercuts before escaping Femi's Fall From Grace, hitting another kick and a splash, but he was only able to secure a one-count before Femi grabbed him by the throat and hit a chokeslam. Uso fought back once again, landing several superkicks and a spear before a second splash, though he was unable to get the cover as he was recovering from the impact. Uso went up for another Uso Splash, but Femi kicked out at two. Uso tried to finish things off with a sleeper hold but Femi fought out, hitting Fall from Grace to win the match and become King of the Ring. A solid match that did what it needed to and didn't feature the largely expected interference from Brock Lesnar. Oba Femi def. Jey Uso via pinfall to win the King of the Ring tournament. Grade: B+Iyo Sky beats Liv Morgan for Queen of the Ring crown, calls her out for SummerSlamBefore the match, Morgan interrupted Danhausen to demand he give Judgment Day their money back. After Morgan threatened Danhausen, Danhausen cursed her, setting the stage for the match. The match began with some fast-paced action, with reversals and early momentum swings. Morgan finally took control, punishing Sky before taking the fight outside the ring, where Sky was able to turn things around and even hit a crossbody off the ringside barricade. The momentum was short-lived, however, as Morgan smashed Sky into the ring post. Morgan scored a few near falls but Sky continued to fight back. Again, a Sky comeback attempt was cut off by Morgan, who locked in a Boston crab but pulled too far back on the hold, allowing Sky to roll through and deliver a double-stomp to bring the terms of the match back to even. Sky hit a top rope missile dropkick to finally grab some sustained control of the match. Sky landed an asai moonsault to Morgan outside the ring before taking things back to the ring for a double underhook backbreaker and a two count. As Sky went to the top rope to finish things off, Morgan shoved her off, causing Sky to jam her knee on the ring steps. Morgan attacked the knee before locking in a half crab on the injured leg. Sky eventually escaped, but her leg gave out as she attempted to run the ropes and Morgan nearly secured the win again. Sky continued battling against both Morgan and her injured leg but did hit a top rope Spanish fly and then the Over the Moonsault to score the pinfall and capture the crown. Sky told Morgan she would see her at SummerSlam, calling her shot immediately. Sky continues to be one of the best and most consistent in-ring performers in the world, and Morgan was more than able to hold her own in a tremendous match. Result: Iyo Sky def. Liv Morgan via pinfall to win the Queen of the Ring tournament. Grade: A-Seth Rollins outlasts Bron Breakker in brutal steel cage matchBefore entering the cage, Rollins threw several kendo sticks, steel chairs and tables into the ring. Breakker did the same, adding a trash can, more chairs and more kendo sticks to the mix. The two men sat in chairs and stared each other down until Rollins said it was time to find out what kind of man Breakker is, and the fight began. Rollins took the attack to Breakker, but Breakker quickly reversed momentum and hit a trio of German suplexes before throwing Rollins into the cage several times. Breakker hit Rollins over the back with a kendo stick before dropping Rollins' back onto a chair. Rollins briefly fought back before Breakker launched him into the cage again. After a trade of strikes, Rollins caught Breakker with a powerbomb to slow things back down. Rollins won a strike exchange and then used a stick on Breakker's midsection and back before driving him into the cage multiple times. Rollins set up a table in the corner before hitting Breakker with chairs, then burying Breakker under those chairs. Breakker cut Rollins off on the top rope, however, hitting a Frankensteiner to send Rollins crashing into the chairs. Breakker stuck Rollins' head through a chair and attempted to use another to hit him on the neck, but Rollins escaped and drove a chair into Breakker's head with a superkick. Breakker immediately came back with a spear for a two-count.With Rollins lying on a table, Breakker attempted to climb to the top of the cage, but Rollins quickly followed him, leading to a brawl atop the cage before Rollins managed to pull Breakker into a superplex through the table. Part of the table caught Breakker, opening a cut next to his eye, which bled profusely. Breakker hit a spear, and then another, but Rollins kicked out at two. Breakker resorted to trying to escape the cage, but Rollins grabbed him and demanded that Breakker finish the fight. Breakker pulled the door into Rollins' face, missed a spear and crashed through the table, allowing Rollins to hit a stomp for a near fall. Rollins went for another stomp but Breakker held his hand up and Rollins backed off. Breakker then tried to fire up but as he stood, Rollins lept from the second rope to deliver one final stomp and score the win. Another solid match, though the final moment was a bit goofy. Result: Seth Rollins def. Bron Breakker via pinfall. Grade: B+Trick Williams retains the U.S. title against Ricky SaintsSaints jumped Williams before the start of the match, but Williams hit a flying clothesline to slow him down. After being knocked from the ring, Saints grabbed Lil Yachty's kendo stick, smacked it against the ring steps and threw himself to the ground, causing the referee to think Yachty had attacked Saints. The referee threw Yachty out, and Saints went on the attack. Saints tried to mix in a bit of flashy offense as he methodically worked over Williams. Williams continued surviving as Saints dominated the majority of the match, continuing to score near falls but not being able to put Williams away. Williams exploded in the final moments, hitting a Trick Shot and scoring the pin to retain his title. This wasn't a bad match by any means, but it felt like forgettable filler on the card. Result: Trick Williams def. Ricky Saints via pinfall to retain the title. Grade: B-Tiffany Stratton retains women's U.S. title after numerous run-insCargill got off to a hot start, even hitting a sit-out powerbomb in the opening moments of the match. Cargill's strong start continued with a spinning sidewalk slam for another near fall. Stratton came back with a dropkick and then another one as Cargill was seated. Cargill continued to cut off Stratton's offensive surges, but Stratton continued to counter much of Cargill's offense in return. B-Fab and Michin ran in eventually, but Chelsea Green emerged from under the ring to take them out. Cargill turned her attention to Green, who was holding the title belt. Green dropped the belt in the corner and Cargill attempted to grab it, but Charlotte Flair arrived, grabbed the belt and drove it into Cargill's head. Stratton finished things off with the Prettiest Moonsault Ever to retain the belt. The match was sloppy and clunky, and the ending was a bit of a mess, marking the show's low point. Result: Tiffany Stratton def. Jade Cargill via pinfall to retain the title. Grade: CSami Zayn take undisputed WWE title from Cody Rhodes in triple threatGunther took out Zayn immediately, then turned his attention to Rhodes until Zayn attacked him from behind and launched him from the ring. Rhodes and Zayn spent a bit of time going one-on-one before Gunther pulled Zayn from the ring and sent him into the ring steps. Gunther continued tossing Zayn from the ring whenever he attempted to get back into the match. After some dominance from Gunther, Rhodes hit a Cody Cutter to take control of the match. Rhodes nearly won it with a side effect on Zayn. Moments later, Gunther hit a powerbomb on Rhodes, only for Zayn to break up the pin. Zayn drove Gunther into the ring steps to make it one-on-one with Rhodes again and hit a blue thunder bomb on the champ for a two-count.A bit later, Rhodes seemed to have the match won after hitting Gunther with Cross Rhodes. Zayn broke the pin by pulling the referee from the ring. Rhodes was furious with Zayn, despite what was a normal move in a triple threat match, leading to an exchange of strikes before Zayn hit a brainbuster. Gunther broke that pin, then powerbombed Zayn and powerbombed Rhodes onto Zayn. Zayn hit Gunther with a code red to counter another powerbomb, again nearly winning the match. Zayn had Gunther pinned after a Helluva Kick, but this time it was Rhodes who pulled the referee from the ring. After Rhodes and Zayn brawled outside the ring, Rhodes launched Zayn with a back body drop from one commentary desk through another. Gunther then twice powerbombed Rhodes onto the other desk. Gunther dragged Rhodes back into the ring and locked in a sleeper hold. Rhodes briefly escaped only for Gunther to apply the hold again. Zayn stopped Rhodes' arm from falling as the referee checked on him. Gunther attacked Zayn, but Zayn hit an exploder suplex and a Helluva Kick, but Gunther kicked out. Rhodes ran in as Gunther was looking to finish Zayn off and hit a Cody Cutter. Zayn hit Rhodes with Cross Rhodes but Gunther caught him in a sleeper, which Zayn turned into a double Cross Rhodes. As Rhodes went to finish Zayn off, Zayn countered and rolled Rhodes up to score the win and the title. A shocker of a finish as Zayn wins his first world championship in what was a tremendous match full of swings and believable false finishes. Result: Sami Zayn def. Cody Rhodes and Gunther via pinfall to win the title. Grade: A
