Andhra Pradesh Minister for Mines, Geology and Excise Kollu Ravindra has said the government is committed to providing a drinking water tap connection to every household in the Machilipatnam Assembly constituency, and to speeding up development in the villages.
The Minister, along with Andhra Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (APSRTC) Chairman Konakalla Narayana Rao, inaugurated drinking water pipeline works at Campbellpet in Machilipatnam Rural mandal on Thursday (July 9, 2026).
He said the government had sanctioned ₹200 crore under the Jal Jeevan Mission to ensure safe drinking water reached every household in the constituency.
Mr. Ravindra said improving basic civic amenities was a priority, and highlighted the works taken up over the past year.
He said 50 km of roads had been laid at a cost of ₹37 crore, and that additional road works worth ₹2 crore were in progress.
