200 additional towers to be installed in Salem circle: BSNL
BSNL plans to install 200 additional mobile towers in the Salem circle to improve network coverage and service quality. The company is also promoting its 4G services and fiber-to-the-home offerings with various promotional discounts.

The Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) Salem circle principal general manager Ravindra Prasad on Thursday (October 1) said that an additional 200 mobile towers will be installed soon to improve the network coverage of BSNL in the circle.
Mr. Ravindra Prasad was addressing the media as part of the BSNL’s 26th Foundation Day celebrations.
He said there are 565 mobile towers in the Salem operational area (Salem and Namakkal districts) and 345 towers in the Dharmapuri operational area (Dharmapuri and Krishnagiri districts).
The Salem business area has about 8 lakh mobile customers and 67,000 fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) customers.
As part of the celebrations, BSNL held a mega SIM and FTTH mela focusing on BSNL SIM activations, FTTH customer acquisition and promotion of BSNL plans/services.
