2 marathon runners hit by motorcyclist riding under the influence

PETALING JAYA: Two participants in the Kuala Lumpur Standard Chartered Marathon were hit by a motorcyclist at Jalan Munshi Abdullah this morning.
Kuala Lumpur traffic police chief Zamzuri Isa said a preliminary investigation found that the 21-year-old motorcyclist and his 19-year-old pillion rider had crossed a marathon route marked by cones.
Policemen on duty instructed the rider to stop, but he allegedly tried to flee by riding against traffic before colliding with the two runners.
