2 Killed, 6 Injured In US' Minneapolis Shooting, Suspect Also Dead

Two people were killed and the suspect is dead after a shooting in a downtown Minneapolis apartment building Wednesday afternoon, according to police.Three Minneapolis police officers were also injured, police Sgt. Garrett Parten said at a press conference on Wednesday evening. Two of the officers were injured from gunshot wounds. All three officers are in stable condition, according to a hospital spokesperson.One of the victims was fatally shot at the scene, and one died after arriving at Hennepin County Medical Center, he said.The Minneapolis Police Department warned the public to stay away from the area and said two police officers were among those wounded.Seven patients were brought to a nearby hospital, according to Hennepin Healthcare Medical Center.Video posted to social media showed police aiming rifles upward at an apartment tower near the Minneapolis Convention Center.
