VIENNA, Ga. - Two people died and 35 others were injured in a mass shooting at a Georgia block party.
Dooly County Sheriff’s Office confirmed the shooting happened around 1:25 a.m. on Pine Street in Vienna, which is about two hours south of Atlanta.
“This weekend was supposed to be a celebration,” Sheriff Craig Peavy told Channel 2’s Michael Doudna . “A thousand people were on the streets for a homecoming block party — until ... folks heard popping.”
