NEW DELHI: Twelve years after work began and barely two days after Barapullah Phase III corridor opened, Delhi is back at the drawing board.The traffic chaos on the new stretch has prompted Delhi Traffic Police to examine not just the freshly inaugurated section but the design of the entire Barapullah corridor.A drone survey and joint meeting with PWD have now put the corridor’s lane configuration, merging points and traffic flow under the scanner.The problem became clear on Wednesday morning. Thousands of motorists followed the new route, expecting the promised 15-minute journey between Mayur Vihar and INA. Instead, many found themselves crawling for two hours or more.The congestion continued Thursday, with some motorists who had used the route a day earlier choosing to stay away, while those who tried it again found themselves in another jam.
