The Hyderabad City Police’s SHE Teams apprehended 2,935 persons for indulging in eve-teasing and other objectionable activities during the Ganesh Chaturthi celebrations held from September 14 to 26.
The SHE Teams were deployed at major Ganesh mandaps, crowded areas and immersion routes, with special focus on the Khairatabad and Balapur Ganesh celebrations, to ensure the safety of women and girls - and prevent incidents of harassment.
