195 sheep run over by Dakshin Express between Bibinagar and Ghatkesar
Nearly 200 sheep were killed by the Dakshin Express train between Bibinagar and Ghatkesar in Telangana, India, in the early hours of Tuesday. The 70-year-old shepherd, Balamoni Kistaiah, reported the sheep missing from their enclosure and suspected they were chased onto the tracks by dogs or wild boars.

More than 195 sheep were run over by the Dakshin Express between Bibinagar and Ghatkesar railway stations in Telangana in the early hours of Tuesday.
According to railway officials, the incident occurred at about 2.32 a.m. on September 29 at railway Km No. 221/29-30, when Train No. 12722, Dakshin Express, travelling from New Delhi to Hyderabad, passed through the section.
A shepherd, Balamoni Kistaiah, 70, a resident of Allinagar in Pochampalli mandal of Yadadri Bhuvanagiri district, claimed ownership of the sheep. Mr. Kistaiah told railway personnel that he had brought the sheep to East City, near Bibinagar, about a month ago for grazing. He said he had kept the flock inside an enclosure on Monday night before going to sleep.
