19 stolen bikes recovered; 3 arrested

Police in the Nanguneri sub-division have arrested three individuals and recovered 19 stolen motorcycles. The arrests followed a targeted investigation into a recent spike in vehicle thefts across several districts.

The Moontradaippu police have recovered 19 stolen bikes and arrested three, including a teenager, for lifting two-wheelers.
According to Superintendent of Police Vishwesh Balasubramnaian Shastri, special police teams, under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police, Nanguneri, Sathish Kannan, were formed to recover the stolen bikes in Nanguneri police sub-division following sudden rise in lifting of two-wheelers.
When Nallakannu, 28, of Nanguneri, a habitual offender who had been arrested for similar offences in the past, was picked-up, he confessed to the police that he and his teenage associate had stolen 9 bikes. After arresting the duo, the police recovered nine stolen bikes from them a few days ago.
Following the information provided by them, the police picked-up of Kombaiah, 42, of Marukalkurichi near Nanguneri and recovered 10 bikes from him.
