158 habitations to get road connectivity for first time
The Andhra Pradesh government has sanctioned ₹422.10 crore under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana to provide road connectivity to 158 remote habitations. This infrastructure project aims to link isolated villages and tribal areas to the mainstream transport network.

With the initiative of Deputy Chief Minister K. Pawan Kalyan, road connectivity will be provided for the first time to 158 remote habitations in Andhra Pradesh at a cost of ₹422.10 crore sanctioned under the Pradhan Mantri Gram Sadak Yojana (PMGSY).
According to officials, 146 roads and 19 bridges, covering a total length of 347 km, will be constructed under the scheme. Road connectivity has already been provided to several hilltop tribal villages in Alluri Sitarama Raju and Parvathipuram Manyam districts under the ‘Adavitalli Bata’ initiative, they said.
The latest initiative will provide road access to remote villages, habitations and hamlets across the State, including those in the plains, that have remained isolated for years.
