A 15-year-old boy was injured after an unexploded cracker burst when he was setting fire to a pile of garbage near his house at Nambiyur in Erode district on Sunday (August 8).
The boy, from Anna Street in Semmandampalayam, Nambiyur, is a Class 11 student at the Government Higher Secondary School in Molapalayam.
According to police, crackers were burst during a temple festival near the boy’s house a week ago. The remnants of the crackers had reportedly been gathered and kept near the house.
