Officials of the customs’ Air Intelligence Unit (AIU) detained an Indian passenger and seized 15 kg of hydroponic ganja worth approximately ₹5.25 crore at the Kempegowda International Airport’s Terminal 2.

The passenger, Suraj Suryavanshi, arrived from Bangkok on Thai Airways flight TG 325, which landed on September 10 around 11.55 p.m.

During inspection, the AIU team detected and recovered the hydroponic ganja allegedly being carried by the passenger.

A case has been registered against Suryavanshi under the provisions of the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act, 1985.
