A 15-foot-long rock python was rescued from a banana plantation at Danterapalle village in Yellanur mandal of Anantapur district on Friday.
The reptile was spotted by farm workers while they were working in the plantation. Alarmed by its presence, they alerted the farm owner, Bhaskar Reddy, who in turn informed a snake catcher.
The snake catcher reached the spot, safely rescued the python and later released it into a nearby forest, officials said.
