15 candidates in fray for Visakhapatnam Mayor’s post VISAKHAPATNAM A total of 15 candidates are contesting for the post of Mayor in the Greater Visakhapatnam Municipal Corporation (GVMC) general elections–2026, Mayor Election Returning Officer B. Dayanidhi said in a release on Sunday. A total of 29 nominations were received for the GVMC Mayor’s post, of which 8 nominations were rejected, while the remaining 21 nominations were found valid. During the withdrawal of nominations on October 21, six candidates withdrew their nominations, he said.
