14 direct purchase centres come up in Tiruchi district for paddy
The Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation has established 14 direct purchase centres in the Tiruchi district to procure paddy from farmers. These centers will operate until August 2027, offering farmers a set minimum support price plus state incentives.

The Tamil Nadu Civil Supplies Corporation (TNCSC) has opened 14 direct purchase centres (DPC) in the district to procure paddy from the farmers.
They have come up at E. Vellanur, Alampadi, Ariyur, Sengaraiyur, Mangammalpuram, Jengamarajapuram, Nathamangudi, V. Thuraiyur, Mullal, Thinniyam, Mettupatti, Komakudi in Lalgudi taluk and Poigaikudi in Tiruverumbur taluk. They will function until August 2027. The DPCs will procure paddy from farmers under the Tamil Nadu Decentralised Paddy Procurement Scheme.
