Deputy Chief Minister Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said the government was focused on providing super-specialty medical services to the people of the State by establishing modern hospitals and upgrading health infrastructure, including adding 14,000 additional hospital beds.
Mr. Vikramarka laid the foundation stones for various development works worth ₹131.61 crore in Chintakani and Bonakal mandals of Madhira Assembly constituency in Khammam district on Sunday.
The projects include a new Government Nursing College at Lachagudem in Chintakani mandal at an estimated ₹29 crore, besides CC and BT roads, drainage facilities and agriculture-related infrastructure such as warehouses and godowns.
He said that the projects would improve rural road connectivity and boost development in agriculture, education and other key sectors in the constituency.
