122 cannabis plants seized in two raids in Adilabad district

As part of the continued crackdown on ganja cultivation, police seized 122 ganja plants during two separate raids in Adilabad district on Friday. Police estimated the value of the seized plants at around ₹12.20 lakh.
According to the police, a raid at Sonpalli village in Ichoda mandal led to the seizure of 98 cannabis plants being cultivated in the backyard of a house belonging to Todasam Muyya, 78. The police booked him under the Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances (NDPS) Act.
In another case, police seized 24 cannabis plants being cultivated in a cotton field at Rampur village in Gadiguda mandal.
A case under the NDPS Act was registered against the cultivator, Gedam Rajeshwar, 38, of Rampur.
