12-year-old dies after school bus hits e-rickshaw in north-west Delhi

The Delhi police on Tuesday apprehended a school bus driver after he allegedly rammed his vehicle into an e-rickshaw near Majlis Park metro station in north-west Delhi, killing a 12-year-old girl travelling in it, a senior police officer said.
The police registered a case of rash driving and death by negligence against the 55-year-old driver, Kamal Singh, a resident of Burari. The police also questioned the e-rickshaw driver, Ajay Prasad, 45. Both vehicles have been seized, the officer added.
According to the police, they received a PCR call at 7 a.m. regarding an accident involving schoolchildren. The girl had already been taken to a hospital by passers-by.
