A 12-year-old class 5 student died after collapsing inside his classroom, at a private school in south Bengaluru, on June 10. The incident came to light more than a month later after his family viewed CCTV camera footage. They have alleged negligence by the school staff.
The deceased has been identified as Arhan Pasha, a student of New Blossom School in Weavers’ Colony on Bannerghatta Road. According to the family, the incident occurred on June 10. They initially believed the child had died due to natural causes.
However, earlier this week, after obtaining and viewing CCTV camera footage from the school, they alleged that school authorities failed to respond promptly despite the boy showing signs of distress.
The CCTV camera footage reportedly shows Arhan informing his teacher that he was feeling unwell before returning to the classroom. Moments later, he allegedly collapsed on his bench.
