The five-day recruitment examination for 629 Assistant Executive Engineer (AEE) posts in the State power utilities commenced on Sunday.

Of the 16,183 candidates registered for the civil engineering stream, 12,301 appeared for the Computer-Based Test on the first day, according to a press release issued by APTransco Joint Managing Director G. Surya Sai Praveenchand.

A total of 1,05,566 candidates have applied for the 629 AEE posts in APGenco, APTransco and the three DISCOMs, he said.
