11 arrested for murder of man in Guntur, says SP

Police arrested 11 persons in connection with the murder of Pendrala Venkanna within the limits of Nagarampalem police station in Guntur, Superintendent of Police Vakul Jindal said on Monday.
According to the preliminary investigation, the accused allegedly planned the murder owing to old enmity and a desire for revenge. After learning that Venkanna had arrived in Guntur with his family on August 29, the accused allegedly kept track of his movements.
On the morning of August 30, the accused allegedly intercepted Venkanna in the first line of KVP Colony and attacked him. The main accused allegedly assaulted him with a knife, while the others attacked him with sticks and their hands, the SP said.
