The Andhra Pradesh government has accorded administrative sanction of ₹10,120.78 crore for the implementation of the Thalliki Vandanam scheme for the academic year 2026–27. A GO to this effect was released on Thursday.
The scheme aims to provide financial assistance of ₹15,000 per annum to eligible mothers or guardians of students studying from Class I to Intermediate in recognised government, aided, unaided and residential educational institutions across the State. A total of 67.47 lakh students and 42.70 lakh mothers or guardians are expected to benefit from the programme.
