1,854 voters submit Form 6 for inclusion of names in Assembly constituencies of Chennai district

Assembly constituencies of Chennai district have registered poor turnout at the special camps for electors who intend to submit forms for inclusion of names on the electoral rolls.
According to Chennai District Election Office, 3,364 forms were issued during the special drive conducted on October 10 and October 11 while 2,483 forms were received from the voters.
Thiru Vi Ka Nagar (SC) registered the highest number of forms received with 379 residents submitting forms at the special camps while 493 forms were issued during the two days of the special drive. A total of 404 Form 6 were issued and 289 were received. As many as 90 voters submitted applications in Form 8 for shifting of residence and correction of entries in the constituency.
Anna Nagar registered the lowest number of forms submitted with officials receiving just 48 applications in Form 6 from residents for inclusion of names.
