The Andhra Pradesh Capital Region Development Authority (APCRDA) has approved infrastructure works worth ₹1,437 crore in 29 villages of the Amaravati capital region, along with proposals for drinking water, roads, institutional development, mixed-use projects, and green-energy infrastructure.
Municipal Administration and Urban Development (MA&UD) Minister P. Narayana announced the decisions taken at the 65th APCRDA meeting, chaired by Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu at the Secretariat on Thursday.
Of the ₹1,437 crore approved for infrastructure works, ₹904 crore had already been sanctioned, while an additional ₹533 crore was cleared at the meeting, including land-to-land arrangements for trunk roads. Works would cover roads, underground drainage, drinking-water pipelines and streetlights.
