₹1.35 lakh unaccounted cash seized from Madurai Corporation office

DVAC sleuths seized ₹1.35 lakh unaccounted cash at a meeting of officials and contractors at the Corporation office here on Tuesday.

Based on a specific input that officials in the office of Corporation Chief Engineer are collecting bribe from contractors, a joint surprise check was conducted.

After the seizure of the cash, the sleuths were conducting further investigation.
